About Us: Top Houston Personal Injury Law Firm

Roshun Phipps

Founding Partner

Roshun Phipps is proud to say that he is a husband and father of 4 wonderful children as well as a Texas Trial Lawyer who focuses his practice on workplace injuries, refinery explosions, construction accidents, catastrophic personal injuries, 18-wheeler crashes, auto collisions, maritime and nursing home claims. Prior to becoming an attorney, Roshun worked nights as a warehouse worker and forklift operator. Having worked in this environment, he saw many instances where productivity was placed at a higher value than safety. Having seen so many occurrences where people were harmed by the negligence of big companies, Roshun was inspired to go back to school to become a lawyer.

Roshun took on a new challenge by enrolling in law school at South Texas College of Law – Houston. Roshun worked 10-hour days to provide for his family while attending law school at night as a part time student. Roshun is no stranger to hard work and from the start of his law practice has continued to roll up his sleeves to focus time and energy toward fighting for the rights of his clients. Roshun has represented people in injury cases throughout the state of Texas. When not practicing law, Roshun enjoys serving in and giving back to his local community and spending time with his family.

Erik Garza

Founding Partner

Erik Garza is more than just a founding partner at Phipps Garza PLLC—he’s a compassionate advocate for people going through some of the hardest times of their lives. Specializing in personal injury law, Erik focuses on cases involving workplace injuries, refinery explosions, construction accidents, catastrophic personal injuries, 18-wheeler crashes, and auto collisions. His mission is simple: to stand by his clients when they need it most and fight fiercely for the justice they deserve.

Erik’s deep-rooted passion for helping others isn’t just professional—it’s personal. Raised in South Texas, Erik grew up working alongside his father in the construction industry. These early experiences taught him the meaning of hard work, resilience, and the importance of looking out for others. It’s a lesson he carries with him to this day as he rolls up his sleeves to give his clients the care and dedication they deserve.

Born in Mexico and fluent in Spanish, Erik is deeply connected to his roots and remains humble about where he came from. He understands the struggles that many of his clients face because he’s lived them himself. Erik takes great pride in helping people throughout the state of Texas, knowing that for his clients, this isn’t just a case—it’s their life, their future, and their hope.

Before becoming a lawyer, Erik worked in the oil and gas industry. This firsthand experience gives him a unique understanding of the dangers many of his clients face. When Erik takes on a case, it’s not just about legal strategy—it’s about standing in the shoes of the people he represents, understanding their struggles, and doing everything he can to help them rebuild their lives.

A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, Erik earned both a Bachelor’s in Accounting and a Master’s in Finance before taking on a new challenge—law school. With a family to support, Erik worked 10-hour days while attending South Texas College of Law – Houston at night. It wasn’t easy, but he persevered. That same grit and determination is what drives him in his law practice today—working tirelessly for his clients, no matter the challenge.

Beyond the courtroom, Erik is a devoted husband to his wife, and a loving father to his daughter. His family is his foundation, and their love fuels his commitment to fighting for the families he represents. For Erik, every case is personal, and every client is treated like family.
